SAFE WORKING LOAD FOR SCAFFOLDING:-

Safe Working Load is a term that applies not just to Aluminium movable scaffolding but to many construction industries and equipment’s. The safe weight-bearing capacity of the equipment, combining both the equipment itself and the weight of workers and materials. Exceeding such limits can create hazardous workplaces, so SWL should be understood before work begins.

When considering how to calculate the required safe working load of Aluminium Movable scaffolding, there are six main variables – dead load, live load, static load, dynamic load, wind load, environmental load

  • Dead load is the weight of Aluminium movable scaffolding tower and its components before it is loaded
  • Live load is the weight of equipment and worker on the Aluminium movable scaffolding Ladder (per bay)
  • Static load is load that doesn’t move
  • Dynamic load is the load/force made by a moving load, on a structure or component
  • Wind load is the additional load against the scaffold created by the force of wind on a structure
  • Environmental load is the weight of environmental factors such as debris, water, snow and dust that may be on the scaffolding

With all factors considered, Aluminium movable scaffolding is erected and certified to a particular load capacity adequate for the project to be carried out safely. It is also paramount that the client and their personnel abide by these load limits to avoid catastrophic failure, leading to possible injury or death.

Safety is always our priority at Sendhamarai Scaffolding. We are licensed, code-compliant, and 100% committed to ensuring that every workplace is free of hazards. It should be noted that the purpose of this blog is to provide an understanding of the methods used to calculate safe working loads. our extensive experience guarantees that we have the knowledge to complete any job safely.

SAFETY & SCAFFOLDING:-

your project is residential and won’t require height, mobility means it may not be an issue. But if it does require some height, then having a fixed structure will give you more options when it comes to getting up onto the roof of a building quickly and safely. Either way, make sure to ask us about our range of services so that we can help guide your decision in selecting exactly what kind of aluminium scaffold is right for each step of your build process.

The most common type of aluminium scaffolding is a mobile tower, which can be assembled and disassembled at any desired location. Mobile scaffolding towers are lightweight structures that offer many advantages over traditional scaffolds for construction projects. If you’re looking to save money on your next building project or want more flexibility in where you construct it, then learn about the cost benefits and other features offered by these versatile models today!

One of the best ways to save money on scaffolding is to use mobile scaffolding towers, which are much more cost-effective when it comes to upfront costs. If you don’t need a higher structure and just want something simple for low-level work like painting or window washing, then these will be perfect! Mobile scaffolds can also be used in many other situations as well – even if they’re not structurally necessary at first glance! There are a lot of options when it comes to scaffolding, but mobile towers can be the most cost-effective choice for those with smaller budgets. If you’re not looking at high structures or very long spans, then purchasing an entire mobile scaffolding tower system could end up costing more than if you just purchase some heavy-duty tripods and built your frames around them instead! Mobile scaffolding may seem like they would only be used in low elevation projects or on small jobs that don’t need anything special beyond what their standard set includes – think short buildings without any major heights that require complex support systems. But these types of mobility devices won’t break the bank either way since buying equipment is always going to have upfront costs no matter how much or If you’re working on a job site where your scaffolding can’t be too high, then it’s worth considering mobile scaffold. You’ll find that the upfront costs to purchase this type of equipment are much smaller than if you invest in complete full-size structures – which may not always suit your needs. Mobile scaffolds have other advantages as well; they’re very versatile and useful for jobs with different heights requirements or places with limited access points such as bridges or buildings close to water!

Mobile scaffolding tower make it simple for person’s to erect, strip and move the structure from place to place. Safety becomes an issue because people have to hand things up and down as they go along – which is a high risk. For any work at height closer than 2 meter (6 feet) above ground level to be considered low risk – all those working on that section need training first. Mobile scaffold towers can be assembled within 10 minutes.

5150/5350 Model Scaffolding Assembling and Dismantling:-

ASSEMBLING SCAFFOLDING:-

  • First step is to Place two 5 RF vertically and parallelly to each other( RF means Rail Frame )
  • Then Connect two Straight Brace with spring loaded snappers black in color
  • Our next step is to Connect the Cross Brace with spring loaded snappers orange in color
  • This is the main step for the scaffolding because now we are going to Fix the four wheel assembly along with the C-clamp which hold the materials erect
  • Again place two 5 RF vertically and parallel to each other(it is connect to the already placed 5RF)
  • Now fix the spring clamp and connect the cross brace (this cross brace used to support the frame and spacing
  • Then fix the platform assembly
  • Fix GRF on both side vertically and horizontally with spring clamp
  • Finally we connect four straight brace
  • Now our scaffolding assembling is fully completed

DIS MANTLING SCAFFOLDING:-

  • First step is to remove the top most four straight brace
  • Then remove the clamp and GRF
  • Next step is to remove the platform assembly
  • Then remove the cross brace one by one
  • Then remove the Single width 5RF along with the spring clamp
  • Now we should remove the wheel so first remove the clamp which is used to connect with the material and then remove the wheel.
  • Next remove the remaining cross brace one by one
  • As the final step remove the two 5 RF frame
  • Now our scaffolding disassembling is fully completed

MODELS OF SCAFFOLDING:-

Sendhamarai Engineering deals with different types of Aluminium Scaffolding according to our customers need.

Cantilever Scaffolding – It comprises cantilever, standards, putlogs, struts and plate forms. A cantilever scaffold is used above the ground level. In Cantilever  scaffolding  length and width of scaffolding is not normal like other scaffolding because all are customized according to the customers requirement

Aluminium Single Width Scaffolding – It comprises standards, Toe Board, braces, ledgers and putlogs. Often they are used for ordinary buildings. Single width aluminium scaffolding are very useful for narrow and crooked site high works. Commonly they use normal ladders for this place which is not safe because in ladders persons cannot work comfortably so the work will be extend for some other times also but in case of scaffolding the can work comfortably and finish the work before the calculated time.

Aluminium Double Width Scaffolding – It comprises two rows of standards, Toe Board, braces and ladders & it’s mainly used for higher-up works. Double width aluminium scaffolding has width of 1.4 Mtr and 2.0 Mtr so that persons can stand freely and work leniently.  If the aluminium scaffolding height excites 15 Mtr we are providing 2Mtr width aluminium scaffolding due to safety purpose.

Sendhamarai’s Aluminum Scaffolding – Most Desired:-

The aluminium scaffold can fortify the revolving and telescopic support structure. The aluminium scaffold is best-suited for all tall and high-rise buildings having externally raised balconies, cantilevered beams, asymmetrical geometric cross-sections and variable cross-sections.

The aluminium scaffold is built using robust yet lightweight aviation aluminium alloy. Its parts are super lightweight, which makes transportation, storing and installation easy.

The aluminium scaffold has dependable two-way restraint when lifting and using it. And the lifting is steady that can shield from overturning inside and outside.

Easy to Erect & Disassemble

The bottom supporting the framework of aluminium scaffold is fabricated as per the building modulus and connected by bolts – it is easy to erect and disassemble and attain finalization, assembly, standardization, and robust versatility.

The vertical mainframe is a steel frame, and the guide rails are the internal limbs of the vertical mainframe, placed in full-length, not limited by the building height change. When in use, the outer and lower components are fortified, convenient for construction.

Besides, it is easy to install and take down the aluminium scaffold, and they look flat and beautiful.

The aluminium scaffold is a force transmission system containing a vertical mainframe and a bottom support truss. The axis of the rods of each node meets at one point, with reasonable force and decent overall firmness.

Aluminium scaffold acquires multi-functional climbing frame construction. And only three to five people can lift the climbing frame. It curtails labor costs, reduces the construction duration, and bring down expenditure costs.

When the multi-functional climbing frame is placed in the ascending state, it can fulfil the requirements of structural construction, top steel bar binding, form-work, concrete pouring and lower form-work turnover.

And when the multi-functional climbing frame is in descending state, it can fulfil the needs of plastering, primer, veneer, paint spraying, glass curtain wall installation, etc., when accomplishing construction beautification.

TOE BOARD & Aluminium scaffolding’s Safety:-

Safety is the most important thing when working with Height. It is important to do everything possible to create safer Aluminium movable scaffolding, with strict safety measures that companies must adhere to when using movable aluminium scaffolding. This includes choosing the right parts, routine maintenance, and properly assembling and disassembling. Workers should use stiffeners and other safety equipment when handling your scaffolding properly and when working with scaffolding. For example, scaffolding footboards and handrails can be used to make the scaffolding more secure.

  • The purpose of a toe board is to safeguard tools, equipment and objects that fall from the edge or is being pushed down from the structure. Whenever handrails are used, it’s a good practice to use toe boards.
  • Aluminium Scaffolding toe boards also make it less likely that workers, materials, and equipment will fall from the platform. They work with handrails to help protect both equipment and workers.
  • Many incidents have included falling objects from scaffolding. This type of incident can lead to serious injuries, but scaffolding toe boards can help to keep this from happening.
  • Aluminium movable Scaffolding toe boards are located at the base of the platform to keep things from slipping off the platform. They help make the job site safer by keeping equipment and workers from falling from the platform.
  • Safety should always be the number one goal when it comes to using scaffolding. Make sure you use the proper aluminium scaffolding toe boards and handrails to help protect your workers and those walking past or through the job site. The last thing you need is a fall accident to cause a serious injury or a death at your job site.

FALL PROTECTION – ALUMINIUM MOVABLE SCAFFOLDING :-

  • All workers must be protected from falling hazards any time they work on a Aluminium scaffolding higher than 10 feet. Standard fall protection on any scaffold will consist of a guardrail system with a top rail capable of supporting and protecting a weight of at least 200 lbs., a midrail, and toe boards.
  • If using a guardrail system is not practical or would create an increased safety hazard, a personal fall arrest system (body harness and lanyard) may be used to protect employees from falling hazards. The use of personal fall arrest systems will be restricted to the specific areas of the scaffold where guardrails cannot be used, and guardrails will be used in all other areas.
  • Body harnesses will be attached to the Aluminium scaffolding structure or vertical or horizontal lifeline. Vertical lifelines will be secured to a fixed safe point of anchorage independent of the scaffold, e.g. a building or other structure, and protected from sharp edges and abrasion. Horizontal lifelines will be secured to two separate points of the scaffold.
  • Guardrail systems will be installed on all open sides of the scaffold. Vertical cross bracing may be used as a top rail only when the center crossing point of the two braces is 38-48 inches above the working surface.
  • The front of a platform shall be not more than 14 inches from the face of the worker, unless a guardrail system is erected along the front edge or unless a personal fall arrest system is used. Except that the maximum distance from the face of work for plastering and latching operations shall be not more than 18 inches.

SCAFFOLD TRAINING:

Scaffold users and erector/dismantlers will be trained on the following areas, as well as Fall Protection Training.

  • The proper use of the scaffold types used and the maximum intended load capacity of these scaffolds.
  • The electrical, fall, and falling object hazards of erecting, working on, and dismantling scaffolds, and the procedures and equipment used to control these hazards.
  • The procedures for erecting, dismantling, moving, operating, inspecting, maintaining and repairing the scaffold.
