SCISSOR LIFT for Lifting:-

Our GENIE scissor lift uses cross balance support to move up and down. The method it uses to move the lift up and down depends on the way it operates. Hydraulics, diesel and electricity are some of the ways in which scissor lift can operate. You can usually find scissor lifts used for a variety of tasks, from building repairs to warehouses to over-stocked items.

Parts of a scissor lift
To understand how scissor lift works you must first understand the parts.

Platform: These come in a variety of shapes, sizes and densities depending on the model. Sites with rails usually carry people, while those without rails usually carry goods. The stage is also known as the “lift table”.

Basic: Similarly, the size of the foundation also depends on the model. The base serves as the base of the lift and is made of hard metal. At the base of the scissor legs are tracks to guide the cylinders. These rollers, with the support of a strong base, ensure stable mounting and descent.

Scissors legs: The legs extend from the base to the platform. They control and lower the platform as it expands. The legs are in the shape of a pontograph or cross-cross.

Cylinder (s): A pair of scissor lifts attached to one to four cylinders. The contents of the cylinder depend on the type of scissor lift. For example, a hydraulic scissor lift consists of a cylinder filled with hydraulic fluid, while another type of cylinder called a pneumatic pump fills with compressed air.

Power source: The power source can be an automatic motor or a remote power pack. There are many ways to operate a scissor lift (we will then go deeper into the power sources.)

Down valve: This valve controls the flow of compressed air or hydraulic fluid by allowing it to return to its original container. This ensures that the scissor lift does not descend too fast. The bottom valve will not operate until the power source is activated.


Flow control valve: This valve manages the descent speed of the base by managing how quickly the liquid or compressed air leaves the cylinder.
